The agreement signed today concerns the manufacture of hydraulic cylinders, related machinery and equipment, and customerships. The personnel of Salon Konepaja’s cylinder business will shift to Hydoring Oy’s employment with their earlier terms of employment, and the cylinder business will be transferred from Salo to Hydoring’s Kyrö factory. The expansion in co-operation will open cylinder deliveries by Hydoring for Mesera’s log lifters, and correspondingly Salon Konepaja will continue component manufacture for Hydoring. “Hydoring is a significant international player in the total deliveries for hydraulics. Thanks to our in-house research and development department, we can provide the customers of Salon Konepaja with even more comprehensive service. We can supply the customer with hydraulic cylinders and power units as well as entire tailored hydraulic systems and solutions, all from a single source. We will carry on the good service for which Salon Konepaja is renowned, including short delivery times,” says Hydoring’s Managing Director Timo Raikko. “This business transaction continues the strategy chosen by Mesera, with the business focused on the three core business areas: Lifting, Paper and Machinery. Abandoning one business will consolidate the future of the remaining businesses. We can now concentrate our resources on the development of the machining business and related capital investments. The objective of this arrangement is to reinforce the international competitiveness of Salon Konepaja.
